Using EpiInfo on multiple computers at once

Hi - I'm hoping for a bit of advice about using Epi info
on several computers at once, all linked to a main
server.

I have been helping a non-profit organization develop a
survey for their clients, and we've decided to go with
Epi info for their database. One concern they have is
that there will be multiple staff in different offices
that will have to collect & enter data at the same time.
Can Epi info be used on a server in this way - with
several people entering data into the same main database
at the same time?

I did see one posting about qes files, but I'm afraid I
haven't the slightest clue what means or how to instruct
them to do this. (I'm trying to better learn Epi info at
the same time that I'm trying to help them!)

MANY thanks for any help you may be able to offer.
Amy

Dear Amy,

As long as the Epi Info software is installed on the individual hard
drives, then yes, .MDB files may be stored on the LAN, and up to 25
users could enter data simultaneously (as well as use the other modules
- except MakeView).

Thanks!

I am also interested in this process:enabling multiple users at the same time to perform data entry in EpiInfo. What do I need to do during the installation to ensure that any data that will be entered is stored on the central database/server rather than on the individual computer. Thanks
